Operating Principle:

The tester works on the basis of detecting the presence of amniotic fluid in the uterus. It applies the phenomenon of reflection of ultrasonic waves.

Applied to the bitch's body, a probe emits an ultrasound beam which, upon reflection from the water-filled uterine horn, returns and causes a change in the signal generated by the device.

The optimal day of the examination depends on the animal species and is calculated from the date of mating or artificial insemination. The test should be repeated at the best time if a very early pregnancy has been tested.
