Dosage
unless a doctor/therapist prescribes otherwise, 1st week twice a day
- < 10 kilos 1 scoop
- 10 – 25 kilos 2 scoops
- 25 – 80 kilos 3 scoops
- > 80 kilos 5 scoops
Reduce the dose to once a day after the first week. Do not exceed prescribed dosage.
The measuring scoop in PUUR Probiotics 50 grams contains approximately 0.5 grams. The measuring scoop in PUUR Probiotics 150 grams contains approximately 2.5 grams.
If it is difficult in practice to administer this product several times a day, 1 time per day or 1 time per 2 days will suffice.
Then give the maximum dose of one day. Even then, this product can be used effectively, but the reaction may take a little longer.
Upon improvement, a maintenance dose can be used. This is usually half the dosage indicated on the package. When dosing this product, carefully observe the reaction of the animal.
A higher dose may be required in the beginning, this product can be safely given in a double dose. When improving, gradually reduce the dose to the lowest possible dose.
Composition per 2½ grams:
Other ingredients: Fructo Oligo Sacchariden. Additives per 2 ½ grams: Zootechnical additives, intestinal flora stabilizers: Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium lactis,
Bifidobacterium longum, Enterococcus faecium (ATCC #8043), Lactobacillus acidophilus (ARS #B-3208), Lactobacillus paracasei (LPC-01), Lactobacillus plantarum (ATCC #8014), Lactococcus lactis (LL-01) and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Administration
Preferably dissolve the powder in lukewarm water, let it stand for fifteen minutes, stir and take/give. Preferably on an empty stomach.
Duration of treatment
In an acute situation, the duration of treatment is relatively short. This can vary from a few days to 3 weeks. If there is improvement, continue with the administration of this product for a few more days. With prolonged discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks.
This product can be given permanently. It is advisable to take a stop week after every 6 to 8 weeks. In this way, after the stop week, the 'stimulus' can be offered again. Resume the treatment immediately if there is reason to do so.
Interaction and contraindication
Always use during pregnancy and lactation in consultation with the attending veterinarian.
To date, side effects of this product have not been known or reported.
Save
Avoid direct sunlight and keep this product dry and at a temperature between 5-20 °C. Keep out of reach of children. The best before date is stated on the label and the box.
