High-Strength GT Cobra Buckle for Easy Handling
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness features a GT Cobra buckle designed for strength and convenient operation.
This high-strength polymer buckle has a manufacturer-stated individual load rating of 500 lb (approximately 227 kg).
Its construction contains no metal springs or hinges, offering a straightforward fastening mechanism.
The quick-release design helps handlers put the harness on and take it off with less effort.
This is particularly useful for individuals who experience difficulties with hand coordination, dexterity or mobility.
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness combines accessible fastening with robust hardware suitable for regular assistance dog activities.
Important: The buckle’s individual rating does not represent a certified load capacity for the complete harness.
Large Sewn-In Support Handle
A defining feature of the Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness is the large support handle sewn into the upper section.
This handle provides a convenient grip point for close handling, positioning and appropriate assistance tasks.
The handle is designed to be accessible to the handler without requiring complicated adjustments.
Potential applications include:
- Close control in crowded environments
- Assistance with positioning the dog
- Convenient handling during everyday activities
- Guidance and communication between handler and dog
- Controlled movement in public spaces
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness is designed to make routine handling easier for people who rely on assistance dogs.
However, the handle should not be treated as a certified weight-bearing mobility device without appropriate confirmation of its suitability.
Three V-Rings for Versatile Attachment
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness includes three load-rated V-rings.
One V-ring is positioned on top of the harness, providing a convenient attachment point for a leash.
An additional V-ring on each side offers further attachment possibilities for suitable handling configurations.
This arrangement gives handlers flexibility when selecting leash positions or arranging compatible equipment.
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness therefore provides more attachment options than a basic single-ring walking harness.
Always use attachments appropriate for the dog’s training, physical condition and intended tasks.
VELCRO® Panels for Service Dog Identification
Clear identification can help communicate a working dog’s role in public environments.
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness features hook-and-loop VELCRO® areas on both sides and across the top.
These areas allow compatible service dog patches, identification panels and reflective strips to be attached or exchanged.
Handlers can customize the harness according to their practical requirements and preferred identification style.
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness offers convenient patch placement without requiring a separate identification vest.
Identification patches do not independently establish a dog’s legal status as an assistance or service animal.
Lightweight Padding for Everyday Comfort
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness combines durable nylon construction with comfortable padding.
The lightweight design is intended to reduce unnecessary bulk during daily wear.
Padding helps create a more comfortable contact surface between the harness and the dog’s body.
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness is designed to support normal movement without excessive restriction during routine activities.
Proper adjustment remains essential, particularly for dogs wearing a harness throughout extended working periods.
Adjustable Fit for Working Dogs
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness is adjustable to fit dogs with a girth measurement between 28 and 36 inches.
<text>Girth range: 28–36 in / approximately 71–91 cm</text>
Measure around the widest part of the dog’s rib cage, immediately behind the front legs.
The harness should fit securely without restricting breathing, shoulder movement or natural walking.
Check the adjustment regularly, especially when the dog’s body condition changes.
Designed for Assistance Dog Activities
The Ray Allen Service Dog Opportunity Harness is particularly suitable for trained assistance dogs and handlers who benefit from accessible fastening and a convenient support handle.
Typical applications include service dog handling, everyday public access activities, structured training and routine leash control.
Its combination of a padded body, accessible hardware and identification panels makes it a versatile choice for regular working-dog use.
