Handmade in Colorado, USA, this harness combines durable nylon construction with load-rated webbing and hardware for demanding assistance dog applications.

Its modular design accommodates an optional removable support handle, allowing handlers to customize their equipment according to individual requirements.

The Ray Allen Assist Harness also includes identification areas, integrated storage pockets and adjustable fastening straps.

Whether used during assistance dog training or daily service work, this harness provides a functional platform for handlers seeking reliable equipment without unnecessary complexity.

Assistance dog equipment should combine practical features with a comfortable, secure fit.

The Ray Allen Assist Harness offers several advantages:

These features make the harness a practical choice for handlers who need accessible equipment and flexible assistance dog functionality.

The Ray Allen Assist Harness features load-rated webbing incorporated into the chest strap.

This webbing continues through the harness to the D-ring positioned on the dog’s back.

The rear D-ring and the slider on the chest strap are also load-rated components.

This construction provides a durable foundation for suitable assistance dog activities and compatible accessories.

The Ray Allen Assist Harness is designed with stability and support in mind, making it particularly relevant for handlers who require specialized equipment.

However, individual component ratings should not be interpreted as a certified working load limit for the complete harness.

The manufacturer does not specify a numerical whole-harness load capacity on the product page.

A defining feature of the Ray Allen Assist Harness is its compatibility with a removable modular support handle.

This optional accessory is designed to provide an additional grip point when stability assistance is appropriate.

Unlike permanently attached handles, the removable design allows handlers to adapt the equipment to different situations.

Available handle lengths include:

The Ray Allen Assist Harness can therefore be configured according to the handler’s preferred reach and intended assistance tasks.

Important: The removable handle is sold separately and is not included with the standard harness.

Handle selection should consider the handler’s needs, the dog’s size and training, and the suitability of the intended activity.

The Ray Allen Assist Harness includes two practical storage compartments.

One side features a snug-fitting pouch designed to hold small items while helping prevent them from slipping out during movement.

The opposite side includes a zippered pocket for items that require more secure storage.

These compartments are useful for carrying lightweight essentials such as:

The Ray Allen Assist Harness offers convenient storage without requiring a separate equipment pouch for every small item.

Avoid overloading the pockets, as excessive or unevenly distributed weight may affect the dog’s comfort and movement.

The Ray Allen Assist Harness features VELCRO® attachment areas designed to accommodate compatible identification placards.

These areas allow handlers to display service dog identification, personalized patches or other appropriate markings.

The manufacturer also offers customized embroidered identification options.

Clear identification can make a working dog’s role more recognizable in public environments.

However, displaying a service dog patch does not independently establish the dog’s legal assistance status.

The Ray Allen Assist Harness combines practical identification options with a streamlined design suitable for everyday assistance dog activities.

A secure fit is essential for comfortable and effective service dog work.

Why Choose the Ray Allen Assist Harness?
